Understanding ADHD Assessments – GP Education Event
16 November 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
This workshop promises to be a valuable opportunity for healthcare professionals to enhance their understanding of ADHD diagnosis and treatment.
Event Overview:
ADHD is a complex neurodevelopmental disorder that often poses diagnostic challenges. The accuracy and speed of identification of a potential child or adult with ADHD depends on how well a clinician understands the underlying nature of this disorder. Often signs and symptoms do not follow the guidelines presented by DSM 5, and it is important to recognise what the essence is, and the various ways in which the signs may be presented.
This workshop will delve into the core aspects of ADHD assessment, emphasising the importance of accurate identification and differential diagnosis. He will explore the nuances of ADHD presentation, examination, investigations, and assessment, all of which are essential for effective treatment planning.
