Irene started her career working with assessment and treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders and developed an interest in Paediatric Feeding Disorders after having her own children who experienced feeding and swallowing conditions. Irene has 17 years’ experience with feeding and swallowing disorders of infants and children in the hospital setting for both inpatients and outpatients and privately within the community. Irene has a special interest in infant feeding and its impact on infant and parental mental health. She also has experience in the assessment and management of complex feeding difficulties due to underlying medical conditions. Irene is currently assisting with research at Curtin University on the effects of tongue tie on infant feeding. She is also a global volunteer (5+ years) for Feeding Matters – The Power of Two Program.

She is SOS trained, Myofucntional Therapy Trained, Beckman Oral Motor Trained & PROMPT Trained
