About the role

As the organisation’s trainer you will be required to develop both face to face and online training modules for Black Swan Health’s employees in areas of identified need in addition to delivering high-quality in-house training in specific areas such as First Aid.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Organise and deliver First Aid training to employees to meet St John Ambulance RTO endorsed procedures such that qualifications can be recognised formally.
  • Arranging First Aid Certificates for attendees who meet the requirements of training.
  • Organise and deliver other training to Black Swan Health employees as required
  • Liaise with managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions.
  • Design effective training programs, both in person and on-line, to meet the needs of the organisation.
  • Conduct seminars, workshops, individual training sessions etc.
  • Prepare training material to support programs being delivered.

Selection Criteria;

Essential:

  • Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) and Transcript.
  • Current HLTAID003 Provide First Aid certificate.
  • Evidence of current Industry Skills and Knowledge.
  • Recent evidence of maintenance of VET knowledge.
  • A least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training across a range of topics.
  • Ability to engage with learners of varying capability and learning styles.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Have an adequate level of physical fitness to enable completion of practical components of First Aid Training.
  • Current Driver’s License and operational vehicle.
  • National Police Clearance.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • First Aid Accredited Trainer
  • First aid or clinical experience (e.g. event first aid, nursing, paramedic etc.)

Desirable:

  • First Aid Accredited Trainer
  • First aid or clinical experience (e.g. event first aid, nursing, paramedic etc.)
  • Experience using ELMO learning management system.
