About this Event

Black Swan Health will be hosting The Chronic Kidney Disease workshop, presented by A/Prof Mark Thomas, Nephrologist and Director of the Fabry Disease Statewide Service. The workshop will provide a conceptual overview of the role GP’s have in preventing and detecting Chronic Kidney Disease in the primary care setting. Illustrative case studies focusing on Chronic Kidney Disease and Diabetes in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations will be presented with the opportunity for interaction throughout, and a formal question-and-answer session towards the end of the evening.

 

GPs who attend the event will receive 4 RACGP CPD points.

 

Learning Outcomes:

• Explore the role of the GP in preventing and detecting CKD in primary care

• Correctly stage CKD using eGFR and urine ACR results

• Create an individualised clinical action plan for a patient with CKD
